Who we are
StockBase is operated by Stockbase. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit the scanner, create an account, run scans, or contact us. Stockbase is responsible for the personal information processed to operate this service.

Information we process
- Account information: your email address, user ID, and any name or profile details you provide through Clerk. Clerk also processes credentials, verification details, and session information to authenticate you. StockBase’s scanner does not receive your password.
- Technical information: request times, requested pages or API routes, browser information, IP addresses, response status, and diagnostic information processed by our hosting and authentication providers. Requested URLs can include stock symbols, timeframes, and preview filters.
- Messages: your email address and information you choose to include when contacting us.
- Browser storage: authentication cookies and cached public price histories. Scan caches are associated with your user ID on your device.
StockBase does not request brokerage credentials, holdings, financial account details, or payment card information. Avoid sending sensitive financial information in support messages.
How and why we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, provide chart access, respond to support and privacy requests, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service, and compliance with legal obligations. If a future optional feature requires consent, we will request it separately.
StockBase does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The scanner currently has no advertising pixels or marketing analytics integration.
Providers and disclosures
- Clerk handles account registration, authentication, and sessions on our behalf. See Clerk’s Data Processing Addendum for its handling of customer account data. The current development setup also sends general SDK usage diagnostics, described in Clerk’s telemetry documentation.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers StockBase and processes network requests and operational diagnostics. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts serves our fonts. Your browser sends standard network request information, including your IP address, when fetching them. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Price histories are requested from market-data providers by StockBase’s server using stock symbols and timeframes. We do not include your account credentials in those requests. If you follow a link to an external price chart or reference website, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
We may disclose information where legally required, to protect the service or others’ rights, or to service providers assisting with those purposes. We do not make account profiles public through the scanner.
How long information is kept
Account information is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide authentication. You can request account deletion using the contact details below. Records may need to be retained afterward for legal obligations, resolving disputes, or investigating security incidents; provider backups and security records follow their applicable retention processes.
Support correspondence is kept only as needed to address the request, maintain a record of its resolution, and meet applicable obligations. Hosting diagnostics follow Cloudflare’s configured log-retention periods. Browser-cache reuse periods and removal are described above; clearing your browser’s site data removes local copies.
Security and international processing
StockBase uses HTTPS, server-side session verification, and access controls for member chart data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account credentials and sign out on shared devices.
Our providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country. Their processing arrangements describe the safeguards used for those transfers. Applicable privacy protections and rights may vary by location.
Your choices and rights
You can browse the limited preview without an account, manage available account details through the profile menu, sign out, and clear site data in your browser.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict processing; or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
To exercise a right or request account deletion, email hello@stockbase.id from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Signing out alone does not delete your account.
Children
StockBase is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information to StockBase, contact us so we can review the account and take appropriate action.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy when our features, providers, or data practices change. The effective date appears at the top of this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
